Jim Prendergast

Jim is the local franchise owner, owning the Mr. Handyman Central Norfolk County and South Shore since 2005. Jim is a life-long resident of the Greater Boston area, graduating from Westwood High School and then attending both Bentley College and Suffolk University, earning a master’s degree in business. Jim entered the building industry after graduation, earning his Builders License, and has worked within the construction industry ever since. Jim’s vision for the Mr. Handyman Brand is to provide premium work and outstanding customer service. He is a true believer in cultivating relationships with his customers, based on trust and respect, and inspires confidence that Mr. Handyman will deliver great work and customer satisfaction at a reasonable price. Jim is a staunch supporter of our military troops. He and his wife Robin worked on a local “Homes For Our Troops” project which provided a new home for a disabled veteran returning from active duty. As a brand, Jim continues to support our troops by offering a discount to military personnel for any work performed and reaches out to the local Veterans community annually to determine if there is a veteran who is in need of carpentry work as an appreciation for their service to our country. Jim has been married to his beautiful wife Robin for over 30 years, has four wonderful children and two energetic yellow labs, Guinness and Bruin. In his free time, Jim is an avid golfer and enjoys running to keep healthy, entering local road races and the Boston Marathon.

Derrik

Technician

Robin has been running the Mr. Handyman Central Norfolk County and South Shore office since its inception in 2005. She has a strong knowledge of the business and can discuss project details to fully assess the scope of the work. Robin provides fantastic customer service and a sincere desire to help every customer with their project needs. She livens up the day with her great sense of humor and positive “can do” approach to life. Robin is a life-long resident of the Greater Boston area, graduating from Westwood High School. She specialized in Advertising Art & Design at Blue Hill Technical School and is quite the artist in her own right. She is very family-oriented and loves to spend time with her husband, four children, two yellow labs, and her extended family. In her spare time, Robin loves to exercise, walk the dogs, bike, and run to stay healthy. She enters many local road races, and half marathons, to keep competitive and achieve her run-time goals. She is addicted to HGTV and on her days off you can find her, more times than not, enjoying the beach.
Carol

CSR

Carol joined the Mr. Handyman team in 2015. Prior to joining Mr. Handyman, she worked in the retail industry for many years as a Direct Marketing professional. She is a life-long resident of the Greater Boston area, graduating from Westwood High School and earning a degree in Business from Merrimack College. Carol enjoys spending time with her family and friends and is a dedicated Boston Bruins fan. She enjoys walking and golfing in her spare time and is an avid reader. Carol is dedicated to providing great customer service to every customer.
Bruin

Unofficial Mascot

Meet Bruin! He was the Mr. Handyman of Central-Eastern Norfolk County's unofficial mascot from 2011-2024. Bruin passed away in August 2024. He is very much missed by all of us.
