Though Dacono is a small city of only around 6000 residents, its population has increased by 50 percent in the last decade—and it’s easy to see why. The historic charm and character of this little city start with its name, which was made by combining the first two letters of the first names of three women living in the historic coal mining town: Daisy Baum, Cora Van Voorhies, and Nora Brooks. Residents describe their homes as close-knit and quiet, where everyone knows everyone. The affordability of homes and the safe, small-town feel are the main aspects that draw new residents. However, this low cost of living can be jeopardized by neglecting to do regular home maintenance and repairs yourself or failing to hire a Dacono handyman to do them for you.
With snowy winters and hot, dry summers, keeping the exterior of your Dacono home in good working order is easier said than done. Though life in Dacono is relatively slow-paced and peaceful compared to the lifestyle in Denver, it can still be difficult to find the time to complete exterior home projects—especially if you don’t have a lot of experience with home maintenance.
