Jo is the local franchise owner. She is retired from the US Navy and served as an Aircraft Maintenance Officer as well as a Security Officer. Although her father was also in the US Navy and she moved around a lot growing up, she finished her last three years of high school in Manassas, VA, graduating from Osbourn Park High School. She purchased the franchise in 2008 and now focuses on creating an exceptional team in order to provide our clients with a great experience. She also is proud of her company’s participation in the National Day of Service in which each year her team volunteers to assist a local military veteran in need of home repairs by providing the labor and materials free of charge to the military family. An interesting fact about Jo is that she is a beekeeper maintaining multiple hives on her own property as well as volunteering to assist other local beekeepers with their hives and is an active member of the Prince William Regional Beekeepers Association. If you ever encounter honey bees building their hive in your home or your shed, Jo along with one of our Service Professionals will come to safely remove and relocate the hive to ensure our pollinators are protected and allowed to thrive without detrimentally impacting your home. Jo has also been a member of the board for Habitat for Humanity Prince William County since 2022.

Zoe is our Activities Director and Greeter. She joined our team in 2019 and ensures the office staff receives their daily dose of fresh air and exercise. She also ensures that all deliveries are accompanied with a dog treat and proper attention.

Tom is our Business Development Manager. He has been a member of our team since 2019. He comes to our team with extensive experience in business development across multiple industries which allows him to be more conversant with our commercial clients. He takes the time with each of our clients to understand their needs so that we can become a solution and a partner within their business environment. Kim is our Accounting Manager. Whether you are a commercial client or a residential client completing a larger project with us, you will most likely speak with Kim during your multiple interactions with our company. She has been a member of our team since 2018 and brings a wealth of knowledge with her from other service industries. Her organizational skills and attention to detail are perfect for her communications with all of our clients.

Joe is our Operations Manager. He has been a member of our team since 2021. He has been in the construction industry for over 15 years. He is a problem solver and takes pride in ensuring our customers are satisfied with our work.

Nancy is our Office Administrator. She has been a member of our team since 2021. She offers a friendly voice every time she talks with our clients. She is very detailed and enjoys discussing our clients' projects and understanding how our services can assist all of our clients. She often goes above and beyond to ensure our clients are taken care of and most likely will be the voice you hear after our service is completed as she handles the majority of our "Happy Calls". She is also in charge of our recruiting strategy so if you are interested in becoming a team member, Nancy will be the one handling your first phone interview.

Chenita is our Business Development Coordinator, aka "The Wrangler". She has been a member of our team since 2022. She works with our Business Development team, Commercial Services team, Residential Services team, and many of our clients who are completing a larger project with us. She is the friendly voice that will answer all your questions as well as ask some of her own to make sure all of the details are in place for our clients and their projects.

Chris is one of our residential service professionals. He has been a member of our team since 2018 and has been in the construction industry for over 15 years. He is skilled in carpentry, drywall, painting, electrical and plumbing. He takes pride in his work and will often ask his satisfied customers to pose for a selfie with him so he can capture their smile once the job is completed. He is also extremely happy when the client's pet supervises his work. He is looking forward to becoming your maintenance advisor.

Bobby is one of our residential service professionals. He has been a member of our team since 2021. He enjoys knocking out those small pesky projects that many of our clients don't have the time or know how to complete. He specializes in drywall, assembly, and carpentry. Jerry is one of our lead service professionals. He has been a member of our team since 2021 and has been in the construction industry for over 25 years. He spends most of his time taking care of our commercial clients but does enjoy tackling projects for our residential clients as well. He is skilled in carpentry, drywall, painting, electrical and plumbing. He takes pride in his work and enjoys solving problems for his clients. He leads some of our larger projects such as bathroom renovations and kitchen remodels. He looks forward to working with you on your next project.

Luis is one of our residential service professionals. He has been a member of our team since 2022. He has worked in the construction industry for over 15 years. He enjoys taking care of our clients and has experience in many of the trades, including carpentry, drywall, electrical and plumbing. He enjoys discussing our client's projects with them and will offer advice on future projects if you ask.

Chris joined our team in 2024. He has worked in the construction industry for over 20 years and enjoys small projects involving electrical, carpentry, or plumbing as well as larger projects including bathroom remodeling or kitchen remodeling. He is also part of the honey bee removal team. If you find honey bees have built their hive in your house or shed, Chris will be the Service Professional coming out to evaluate and safely remove and relocate the honey bee hive. Carlos has been part of our team since 2020. He has worked in the construction industry for over 20 years. He enjoys a variety of projects to include carpentry, drywall, electrical, plumbing, flooring, and tile. He loves the variety of the projects he completes for his clients.

Morgan is one of our Service Professionals. He joined our team in 2024 and has over 10 years of experience in the construction industry. Morgan is also a military veteran and translates his discipline and determination into every project he does for our clients. He enjoys project such as repairing fences and decks, replacing light fixtures, repairing drywall, as well as bathroom and kitchen renovations.

Ed is one of our Service Professionals. He joined our team in 2024 and has over 15 years of construction industry experience. He enjoys projects pertaining to plumbing, drywall, assembly, and repair. Kwaku is one of our Service Professionals. He has been on our team since 2024. He has over 12 years of experience in the construction industry. He gravitates to projects like plumbing repairs, electrical repairs, custom carpentry projects, flooring replacement, and drywall. Travis is one of our Service Professionals. He joined our team in 2024. He has over 15 years of experience in the construction industry. He enjoys completing projects for our clients like drywall repairs, electrical and plumbing repairs, deck and fence repairs or upgrades, and bathroom and kitchen remodels. He is always willing to offer advice to his clients about their upcoming projects.

This year our team as well as approximately 40 other local businesses were able to provide home repair services to a local military veteran who served in the US Army in the early 1970s. With the help of the entire team and all the volunteers, we were able to complete 51 home improvement projects including deck repair, fence repair, window replacement, door replacement, wood rot repair, drywall repair, dishwasher replacement, range hood replacement, electrical work, flooring replacement, caulking, painting, pressure washing, and HVAC service. Mr. Handyman thanks all military veterans for their service and sacrifice to our country and we look forward to assisting another military veteran next year.

Our team and approximately 40 other local business owners and their teams had the privilege of honoring Donna Diehl this year. Donna was a nurse in the US Army during the Vietnam War. She was in need of some home repairs and we were able to provide her service to include deck repair and staining, fence repair, landscaping work, drywall repair, door replacement, bathroom vanity replacement, painting and handrail installation. It was an honor to thank Donna for her service and provide her with the maintenance and repair services she needed.

Every year for the past 13 years, Mr. Handyman of Northern Virginia is honored to provide home repair services free of charge to a local military veteran and their family. This year we had the privilege of recognizing Ron Beyer and his wife Carol for Ron's sacrifice for our country. Ron is a disabled military veteran who served in the US Army from 1965 to 1985. Mr. Handyman partnered with several other local service business to provide much needed repairs and maintenance to include installation of a chair lift, landscaping, installation of handrails, deck repair and maintenance, painting, gutter cleaning, power washing, HVAC service and two bathroom renovations. Although it was a long day to ask this family to vacate their home, they were pleasantly surprised with everything our team was able to accomplish in a day to make functioning in their home just a little bit easier. Our team stays until the very end to see the big smiles on the veteran's face when they come home and see everything that was done in their honor. Mr. Handyman would like to thank Ron, his family, and all of the military veterans for their service to our country.

Our team enjoys working together as well as playing together. Having Fun in the Process is one of our Code of Values and we ensure that we incorporate that routinely in our schedule. Team building events allow us to get to know each other outside of the work environment, blow off steam, and ultimately helps us become a stronger team to better service our clients. This also allows us to support some of our local commercial clients. This night we confirmed that we are better at gutter cleaning than bowling but it was a great time at Uptown Alley in Manassas.

We don't always stop and take the time to take a group photo as Monday's typically consist of an early morning staff meeting followed by loading the vans and heading out to service our clients. This Monday in October we took the time after the staff meeting to take a quick photo as a team at our office. It takes an entire team to ensure our clients receive the remarkable experience they deserve.
