Mr. Handyman of Waukesha and Northern Milwaukee to Build a Ramp and Deck
WAUKESHA, Wis. – (Dec. 2, 2017) – As part of the National Day of Service, technicians from Mr. Handyman of Waukesha and Northern Milwaukee will donate three days of repairs and services Thursday, Nov. 30 to Saturday, Dec. 2, all without collecting a single penny in labor costs. Mr. Handyman of Waukesha and Northern Milwaukee, a Neighborly company, is part of the nation’s leading repair, maintenance and improvement franchise.
Mr. Handyman’s volunteer staff will visit a local veteran’s apartment in Waukesha to provide repair and maintenance services including building a deck and ramp to make the apartment wheelchair accessible. The veteran has suffered various health issues and has struggled to enter and leave his apartment using a wheelchair. The project is nearly six months in the making after acquiring various permits and accepting generous donations of supplies from local businesses.
This project is part of a national effort by Mr. Handyman where technicians from coast to coast are encouraged to reach out to a special local charity, organization or individual in need to offer their services. Jobs often range from fixing up living areas, kitchens, bathrooms or anything else that needs refurbishment and renovation.
